Eco friendly salon

Personally I care a lot about the environment and I try and do my best to take care of it, here at the loft we put a great deal of thought into our waste disposal and product containers in the salon. Even during the current pandemic where PPE is hugely important, I’ve invested in additonal washable gowns instead of dispoable plastic ones, and washable shoe covers instead of dispoable plastic. Even my hand gel is eco friendly, kind and gentle to hands but still 70% alcohol Milk_Shake branded available in salon.

Luckily for me, the Milk_Shake brand feel the same way about the importance of Eco friendliness. Their bottles are and lids are recycleable or compostable. While their colour containers are all recycelable and mostly made of recycled carboard.

They brought out a brilliant keratin system that I couldn’t wait to get my hands on, because as well as it being the kindest and most effective keratin blowdry sytem I’ve seen. It contains zero formaldehyde (which is found in most keratin systems)

As with all keratin blowdry systems, Milk_Shake have a specific shampoo and conditioner that is advised to be used at home to prolong the life of your treatment. What I love about these shampoos and conditioners is that they come in refillable pump bottles. Check them out in salon.

Lack of SLS and SLES in these products is better for our hair, skin and environment.

I also use the brand Malibu C which is also based predominantly around natural ingredients, recycleable packaging and being kind to our hair, skin and the environment. Malibu C is also vegan friendly. I use Malibu C for my colour corrections and the sought after Malibu Makeover.
